Tolkien Poem Discovered


    J.R.R. Tolkien wrote more than novels and did more than invent languages. What is remarkable to me about this poem is its style. While a Marian poem, it does not offend this Lutheran, and I would not think it would offend anyone. But these days, who knows?

   This almost makes me want to take up the pipe again, but I won't. I did two things rather soon after I arrived at Penn State to look more distinguished. I grew a moustache and started smoking a pipe. I still have the moustache!
