Happy Birthday, Percy Bysshe Shelley

One of English's finest lyric poets, Shelley was born 4 August 1792 in Sussex. Like many of his peers among the English Romantic poets, he died young. Not by illness, but by drowning; he and some companions did not heed the warning of Italian sailors and ventured out anyway.

I give a link to his biography and to one of his finest poems. The last thing I want to add is that he did not stand int he way of his (second) wife's career. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley wrote Frankenstein and became her spouse's literary champion. If onyl they could have grown old together!
